Directors Corner: December / 2008

Art Persons

Hi Adirondack HOG Members!

It seems like only yesterday I was sitting here writing my 1st “Director’s Corner” for the Jan. newsletter. I still get a few butterflies while writing these things, but it is much more fun now. We talked about the ’08 riding season at our holiday awards party. For anyone who missed the party, we had 54 events planned for the season. These included rides, charity, events, parties, & brunches. Thanks to all our committees for their hard work setting up these events. Special thanks to Diane Agnew, Nadine Szewczyk, and Lou Hall for improving our communications network.

Thanks also to Noel Gruben, Ben Nickleson, Jeff Lawrence, and Bill Novotny for handling all the “nitty-gritty” work that has to happen for the club to survive and grow. The McDermott Family also deserve our thanks for all their help & support for the past 20 years.

That reminds me of one thing we failed to celebrate in 2008. This year was the chapter’s 20th birthday. I wasn’t a chapter member that 1st year, but we still have some members who were.

My last thank you, for now at least, is to the Adirondack HOG Membership for your support & friendship over the past year. Without your participation, our officers wouldn’t have enjoyed working so hard for you. Let’s try for 20 more!!!

Ride & Have Fun!
